Is this loggerhead turtle will eat a giant octopus leftover?

This dead cephalopod is usually found in the deep ocean. But we assume that a sperm whale brought this piece at the surface. It made someone else curious about it 🐢

@moniceph.azores is stuyding cephalopdod ecology in the Azores and the cephalopod/cetaceans interactions. One of our question is why pieces of Haliphron atlanticus (giant octopus) are found at the surface of the ocean? A hypothesis is that it is used to teach baby sperm whale to echolocate and forage.
