Some cetaceans, including sperm whales, are diving deep in the ocean to find their preys. Sometimes they bring back at the surface pieces of their food: cephalopods "leftovers". These pieces are rare encounters, and also precious as humans cannot access easily these depths.
Thank you whales for allowing us to study these not well-known animals and the deep-sea ecology.
And, additionally, looking at the interactions, we can also study these cetaceans diet and eating behavior. How great is that?!
